
UCLA Women's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

NCAA finalist UCLA will play a competitive 2018 spring schedule, with scrimmages against the Chinese Women's National Team and twoย NWSLย squads.
The spring season kicks off on Friday, Feb. 9 with a closed-door morning scrimmage against the Chinese Women's National team, and in March, UCLA will face a pair of NWSL teams. The Bruins and Seattle Reign FC will rematch at SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, Calif. on Tuesday, Mar. 13 at 8pm. Last year, Seattle won a close battle with the Bruins, 3-2, in front of over 7,000 fans. Seattle has two Bruin alumnae on its squad โ Lauren Barnes and Megan Oyster. UCLA will host new NWSL team Utah Royals FC on Friday, Mar. 16 at 8:30am.
The Bruins will face their first collegiate competition on Friday, Apr. 6 when they play at Loyola Marymount at 5pm, followed by a "Battle of the Sexes" match against the UCLA Men's Soccer club team on Thursday, Apr. 12 at North Athletic Field at 10am. The spring season concludes on Sunday, Apr. 15 at Long Beach State with a pair of games againstย Long Beach State at 1pm and vs. SoCal FC .
UCLA has nine starters returning from its 2017 squad that went 19-3-3 and advanced all the way to the national championship game, including MAC Hermann Trophy finalist Jessie Fleming and first-team All-American Hailie Mace.
