SCTA Hall of Fame Welcomes Teacher

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA) will welcome former UCLA men's tennis player Brian Teacher into its Hall of Fame on Sunday, Sept. 20.
Teacher, a four-time All-American at UCLA (1972-76), was inducted into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Hall of Fame in 2001. During his career at UCLA, Teacher teamed with current UCLA men's tennis head coach Billy Martin as a finalist in doubles at the 1975 NCAA Championships and was also a member of the Bruin national championship teams in 1975-76. He also claimed the boys' 18 singles and doubles crowns in 1972 and won the Australian Open singles championships in 1980. Teacher was twice ranked in the United States Top 10 in singles (4th in 1981 and 8th in 1982).
Joining Teacher in this year's induction class are: Wayne and Kathy Bryan, Jerry and Jeanie Buss, William (Bill) Rombeau, and Pam Teeguarden.
