PHOENIX - Senior Beth Wu rallied from four shots down, firing a 4-under 68 on Sunday to earn co-medalist honors at the PING/ASU Invitational at the Papago Golf Course. It marks the first victory of Wu's collegiate career. As a team, the Bruins finished in eighth place at +13 (877) following a 2-under 286.

Wu, who shared medalist honors with Stanford's Andrea Lee and Northwestern's Stephanie Lau, rebounded from two early bogeys to post four in a row on holes No. 9-12. She added back-to-back birdies on the 14th and 15th, made bogey on No. 17 and closed with a birdie on the 18th to get to 7-under 209. Thirteen of Wu's 15 birdies for the tournament, including seven on Sunday, came in the final two rounds.

Sophomore Patty Tavatanakit tied for 10th at 2-under 214, matching Wu's 4-under 68. She eagled the par-5 15th, added four birdies on No. 6, 9, 11 and 14 and two bogeys. Junior Clare Legaspi tied for 52nd (+10, 226), shooting a 3-over 75 on three birdies (No. 3, 7 and 15) and six bogeys. Sophomore Vera Markevich tied for 62nd (+13, 229), also posting a 3-over 75 on a seventh-hole birdie and four bogeys. Freshman Phoebe Yue finished 86th (+32, 248), making a birdie on No. 15, eight bogeys and a quad (+11, 83).

The final tournament of the regular season takes place next weekend, as the Bruins travel to Napa for the Silverado Showdown (April 7-9) at the Silverado Country Club.
