NAPA, Calif. - The Bruins finish their regular-season tournament schedule at the Silverado Showdown, which runs from Sunday through Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament will be played on the Silverado Country Club's par-72, 6,120-yard layout.
The starting fivesome for the Bruins will be senior Beth Wu, juniors Mariel Galdiano and Clare Legaspi, sophomore Vera Markevich and freshman Phoebe Yue. Sophomore Patty Tavatanakit is missing the event, as she finishes up play at the LPGA Tour's first major, the ANA Inspiration, where she made the cut and is the low amateur after 54 holes (T-50th, +4). The Bruins will start their opening round on Sunday off the first tee at 8 a.m. in the order of Yue, Markevich, Legaspi, Galdiano and Wu. Monday's play will also be off split tees, while Tuesday's action will be a shotgun start.
Joining the Bruins in the 18-team field are No. 4 Stanford, No. 12 South Carolina, No. 16 Northwestern, No. 24 Oregon, No. 25 Washington, No. 27 Pepperdine, No. 32 San Jose State, No. 40 Iowa State, No. 43 San Diego State, No. 45 California, Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Francisco, UNLV, Washington State and Wisconsin.
