Billie Moore

Head coach of the UCLA Women’s Basketball team for 16 years (1977-93) and is the winningest coach in UCLA women’s basketball history with a record of 296-181. Moore guided the 1978 Bruin team led by Ann Meyers and Denise Curry to the National Championship. She had previously led Cal State Fullerton to the National Championship in 1970. In 1976, Moore was the head coach for the U.S. Olympic team leading the American squad to the silver medal. Moore was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1999 and was a charter inductee into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.
