MEN'S DOUBLES FINAL VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
Rojer, from the Netherlands Antilles, and Tecau, of Romania, were seeded fourth at this year's Wimbledon. They took on 13th-seeded Jamie Murray of Great Britian and John Peers of Australia in Saturday's final. The first set was extremely close, with Rojer and Tecau edging out Murray and Peers in a tiebreaker. The two players never looked back from there, claiming the best-of-five set match 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-4 to win their first Grand Slam title together.
Both players have previously won Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles, with Tecau winning the 2012 Australian Open with U.S. player Bethanie Mattek-Sands, and Rojer claiming the French Open Championship in 2014 with Germany's Anna-Lena Grönefeld.
For their efforts on Saturday, Rojer and Tecau with each take home roughly $189,660 in prize money.
Rojer was a three-year letterwinner at UCLA from 2000-02. He earned All-America honors in 2001 and 2002 before turning pro following his junior season.
