Six Bruin Players Named to Pac-10 All-Academic Teams

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.- Six UCLA players were selected to the 1999 Pacific-10 Conference Women's Golf and Women's Tennis All-Academic teams today.
In women's golf, two Bruins were rewarded for their academic and athletic success. Junior Business-Economics major Alexandra Gasser earned first team honors with her 3.61 grade point average. Sophomore Laura Moffat earned honorable mention accolades.
In women's tennis, two players earned first team honors and two more earned honorable mention acclaim. For the second consecutive year, junior Business- Economics major Annica Cooper was awarded first team honors for her 3.73 GPA. Junior Amanda Basica joined her teammate in first team honors with her 3.62 GPA. For the second straight year, both junior Katia Roubanova and junior Elizabeth Schmidt earned honorable mention nods.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
