UCLA Women Upset By OSU, 72-52

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Sissel Pierce scored a game-high 21 points in the final home game of her career to lead Oregon State to a 72-52 victory over No. 22 UCLA on Saturday night.
The Beavers (13-13, 10-5 Pacific-10) held UCLA (15-9, 9-5) to their second-lowest point total of the season and limited Bruins standout Maylana Martin to only eight points, well below her 17.5-point average. Martin scored 39 points in a loss at Oregon on Thursday night.
Felicia Ragland added 14 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists, and Cherrith Wiersma had 11 points to help the Beavers to their 10th victory in their last 13 games.
Oregon State beat a ranked team for the first time since knocking off Stanford during the 1994-95 season.
Oregon State, which was 4-10 overall at one point in the season, moved into undisputed possession of fourth place with its fourth straight victory.
UCLA, the defending conference co-champion, dropped into fifth place after losing twice on its Oregon road trip. No Bruins player scored in double figures.
UCLA shot only 34 percent (18-of-52) from the field and was outrebounded 40-28.
Oregon State took control with a 19-1 run that started after Erica Gomez's 3-pointer gave UCLA its last lead at 45-44 with 8:48 to play.
Oregon State's Chassie Wiersma hit a 3-pointer with 8:22 left to send the Beavers back on top 47-45 and Ragland added another 3-pointer after a UCLA turnover.
The Beavers eventually built their lead to 58-45 before a free throw by UCLA's Janae Hubbard ended a string of 14 straight Oregon State points. The Beavers then scored seven more in a row for a 63-45 advantage with 1:10 to play before UCLA scored again.
