The UCLA varsity defeated an all-star UCLA Alumni team in four games in men's volleyball competition Friday night at Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins won 30-25, 30-23, 25-30, 30-25 in one hour and 40 minutes.

Sophomore Cameron Mount led the varsity with 15 kills (.333) and seven digs and freshman Chris Pe?a added eight kills (.500). Senior All-American Adam Naeve contributed nine kills (.615) and four total blocks.

For the Alumni, former All-American Jeff Nygaard pounded a match high 22 kills (.304) with six total blocks. J.B. Saunders was the only other alum in double figures with 10 kills.

Other former greats who played for the Alumni included All-Americans Roger Clark, Mike Sealy, Matt Davis, Fred Robins, Brandon Taliaferro, Ron Coon and Kevin Wong. Also participating were Jason Harper, Marc Anderson, Dave Brown, Steve Stovitz and Trong Nguyen.

The Bruins' next match is Wed., Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion against Cal State Northridge.
