Due to the events of September 11, the Bruin Athletic Council (BAC) will be sponsoring an event called, "Bruins For Relief." Bruin student-athletes, coaches, athletic department staff and members of the Pasadena Police and Fire Departments will be collecting donations at the UCLA vs. Oregon football game this Saturday at the Rose Bowl. Every dollar collected will go to the Families for Freedom Scholarship Fund. This fund, which will be in place for the next 25 years, will provide financial assistance for children of victims wishing to attend a college or university.

Each student-athlete will be wearing a blue t-shirt with white lettering which says "Bruins For Relief." Donations will be accepted outside the tunnels of the end zone sections prior to the game. Donations will be collected inside the stadium for those sections on the east and west sides during the first half of the game.
