
Bruins Defeate Rainbow Wahine 5-4

Honolulu, HI - Yesterday, the Bruins wrapped up their Hawaiian tour with a 5-4 victory over the University of Hawaii. The Bruins improve to 14-3 overall, 4-1 MPSF.
The Bruins took an early lead in the first quarter of play. Katherine Belden, Molly Cahill and Kristina Kunkel each netted a goal to put the Bruins up 3-0.
In the second quarter, the Hawaii's Shannon Carroll and Beth Novick scored two goals. Kunkel netted her second goal of the game, putting the Bruins up 4-2.
In the third quarter of play, Hawaii's Audrey Harrer scored a goal on a power play to bring the Rainbow Wahine within one. But, the Bruins were able to insure the victory on a goal by Belden with 3:41 to go in the game.
The Bruins have an undefeated all-time record of 20-0 against Hawaii.
Up next, the Bruins will host San Diego State and Arizona State this weekend at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. UCLA will face the Aztecs on Saturday at 1:00 PM, followed by the annual Alumni Game. The Bruins will face the Sun Devils on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
