Chelsea Johnson Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

In UCLA's outdoor season opener on Saturday, Johnson set a new NCAA outdoor, UCLA and Drake Stadium record with a winning pole vault height of 14-9 (4.50m). The previous record of 14-8 was set by Oregon's Becky Holliday last season. Earlier this year, Johnson set the UCLA record at 14-8. This weekend, she will compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships, entering with the top indoor mark in the nation (14-8).
This is Johnson's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
