Casey Janssen Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete Of The Week

Janssen was selected to the All-Tournament team at the NCAA Regional in Oklahoma City after pitching eight innings of two-hit ball in the Bruins' 9-1 upset victory over host Oklahoma in UCLA's opening game of the Regional. Janssen struck out seven batters, walked only one and never allowed a runner past first base as he picked up his 10th win of the season. He is the first Bruin to post 10 wins in a season since Josh Karp in 2000.
This is Janssen's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
