Top-ranked UCLA swept Cal State Northridge in MPSF men's volleyball action Wednesday night at the Matadome.
The Bruins won 30-18, 30-26, 30-26 in 88 minutes before 485 spectators. The victory raised the Bruins' overall record to 9-1, 5-1 in league play. The Matadors fell to 4-6, 2-5.
Senior Kris Kraushaar led UCLA with 15 kills (.520) and a pair of aces, followed by sophomore Steve Klosterman who added nine kills (.316). Senior Paul Johnson also added two aces.
UCLA hit .407 for the match, served six aces and recorded 9.5 total blocks.
Brian Waite led the Matadors with 11 kills (.625).
The Bruins will continue their road swing this week, playing at UC Santa Barbara on Fri., Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. Next week, the Bruins return home for a six-match homestand beginning on Wed., Feb. 9 against Long Beach State.
