LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Blake Sharpe's solo home run on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning gave USC all it would need as the Trojans completed a three-game Pac-10 series sweep with a 6-0 win over UCLA on Sunday afternoon at Dedeaux Field. UCLA senior right-hander Bryan Beck tossed an effective 6.2 innings for the Bruins despite picking up the loss.

The Trojans (21-9, 6-3 Pac-10) added three more runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth en route to sending the Bruins (7-21, 0-6 Pac-10) to their seventeenth consecutive defeat.

Sharpe led the way for the Trojans, finishing 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Matt Cusick contributed a two-run home run for USC in the eighth.

Anthony Encinas (2-1) earned the win for the Trojans with 4.2 scoreless innings of relief. Beck falls to 0-6 despite an outing in which he gave up just four runs on seven hits. After the first inning home run, Beck had held the Trojans scoreless up until the sixth.

UCLA was outscored 26-1 over the weekend.
