
No. 3 UCLA Falls to California, 10-8, in NorCal Tournament Semifinals

BERKELEY, Calif. - Senior Justin Johnson and sophomore Kevin Kuga each tallied two goals as the No. 3 UCLA men's water polo team dropped a 10-8 decision to No. 2 California in a NorCal Tournament semifinal match Sunday afternoon.
The Bruins also received goals from senior Matthew Jacobs, junior Chris Allen, sophomore Scott Davidson and freshman Ben Hohl.
UCLA (6-1) took an early 2-1 lead after the first quarter before the host Golden Bears (9-0) outscored the Bruins, 5-2, in the second frame to assume a 6-4 halftime advantage. Cal led 9-6 after three quarters.
Sophomore goalkeeper Chay Lapin tallied seven saves for the Bruins.
UCLA will face No. 4 Stanford in the third-place game at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday at California's Spieker Center.
