Hours after being named the Pac-10 Golfer of the Month for February, UCLA freshman Patrick Cantlay began his campaign for the month of March.

Cantlay captured medalist honors at the USC Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 207 (-6) following a final round 68 (-3). The title was Cantlay's third of the season and dropped his season score in relation to par to 23-under par through 18 rounds this year. He is now averaging 70.05 through six starts. Cantlay beat Scott Pinkney of Arizona State by two shots.

The Bruins posted a three-round team score of 852 (E), two shots behind San Diego State (850, -2). Oregon placed third at 861 (+9), followed by Stanford at 863 (+11) and UC Davis at 867 (+15).

Sophomore Pontus Widegren and freshman Anton Arboleda tied for eighth place at 214 (+1). Widegren posted a final round score of 72 (+1) and Arboleda carded at 74 (+3). Senior Connor Driscoll tied for 24th place at four-over par 217, following a third round score of 72 (+1). Sophomore Mario Clemens tied for 57th at 226 (+13).
