
Crawford & Hobson Post Wins At Aztec Invitational

Scott Crawford and Taylor Hobson highlighted the men's track and field team on Saturday as the Bruins competed at the Aztec Invite in San Diego.
Crawford won the 1500m with a lifetime-best run of 3:46.50, a time which will rank in the top 15 nationally. Hobson won the long jump with a solid opener of 24-3.50. That mark will also rank amongst the top 15 in the NCAA. Hobson also finished fourth in the high jump with a clearance of 6-8.
In the pole vault, Casey DiCesare equaled his season-best with a vault of 17-00.75 to finish third overall. Mike Woepse cleared a season-best 16-6.75 for fifth-place. Jonathan Clark posted a triple jump mark of 51-8.25 to finish second overall (top collegiate finisher). That mark is just one inch shy of his lifetime-best.
Also in the 1500m, Cory Primm was fourth overall in a time of 3:51.04. Steven Norton was eighth (3:56.65), while Jordan Senko was ninth (3:57.25). Norton also finished sixth in the 800m in a time of 1:53.41. In the long jump, Nelson Rosario was third with a jump of 23-3.25.
