
Taylor & Nagengast Highlight Men's Track & Field At UCSD Invite

Bo Taylor and Thomas Nagengast highlighted a small contingent of men's track and field athletes that competed in La Jolla on Saturday at the UCSD Triton Invitational.
Taylor, who was competing in the invite section of the discus, finished 11th overall (third-best collegiate mark) with a season-best toss of 186-7. That mark ranks 14th in the NCAA this season. Nagengast won the open section of the discus as he threw just off of his season-best with a mark of 177-7.
Also in the open section of the discus, Matthew Kosecki was ninth (166-4) and Mark Weber was 14th (162-11, season-best). Weber also finished seventh in the invite section of the shot put with a lifetime-best throw of 55-6.50.
In the pole vault, Bruin alums Yoo Kim (17-8.50) and Dustin DeLeo (17-2.75) finished first and second, respectively. Current Bruins Greg Woepse (16-8.75) and Mike Woepse (16-8.75, season-best) finished sixth and seventh, respectively.
In the invite section of the long jump, Michael Perry posted a season-best mark of 22-7.
The Bruins will head to USC next weekend to battle their crosstown rival. The hammer throw will take place at Mt. SAC on Saturday, while the remainder of the meet will be held on the USC campus on Sunday, May 1st.
