Los Angeles, Calif. - Over 40 current UCLA student-athletes participated in the Fall Networking Night, hosted by the Bruin Varsity Club (BVC) in collaboration with the Office of Student-Athlete Development.
Networking Night featured eight successful BVC mentors representing various professional fields. The mentors led roundtable discussions on their post-graduate experiences and provided tips on interviewing, resumes, networking and how to market transferable skills and athletic experiences in the professional world.
Junior rower and Bruin Athletic Council representative Kat Lauer said, "It was an amazing experience to be able to sit down and talk with some of our alumni about their careers, as well as opportunities that are available. I always walk away from these nights with a renewed feeling of support from the Bruin community."
Recognizing the importance of mentorship and networking, UCLA Athletics continues to create opportunities to build connections between current and former student-athletes.
