Twelve teams, including No. 6 seed UCLA, along with 12 all-around competitors and three individual event specialists have advanced to compete for the 2013 National Collegiate Women's Championships, held at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, Apr. 19-21.

The first semifinal will take place on Friday, Apr. 19 at Noon. Teams competing are No. 1 seed Florida, No. 4 Georgia, No. 5 LSU, No. 8 Minnesota, No. 9 Stanford and No. 12 Illinois. UCLA competes in the second semifinal at 6 pm with No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Alabama, No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Utah and No. 11 Arkansas.

The Bruins will begin competition on balance beam and conclude on uneven bars, as determined by a random draw conducted by the NCAA on Sunday.

Friday's team semifinals also determine the all-around champion and the qualifiers to the Super Six Team Finals and Individual Event Finals. The top three finishers from each preliminary session will advance to the Super Six Team Finals on Saturday, Apr. 20 at 4 pm. The top four individuals from each session in each event (plus ties) from the semifinal team and all-around competition will compete in the Individual Event Finals on Sunday, Apr. 21 at 1 pm.

In the first semifinal session, Illinois begins on vault, Georgia has a bye before bars, Minnesota begins on bars, LSU starts on beam, Stanford has the bye before floor, and Florida begins on floor.

In the second semifinal session, Arkansas begins on vault, Alabama has a bye before bars, Michigan begins on bars, UCLA starts on beam, Utah has the bye before floor, and Oklahoma begins on floor.

The 12 qualifying teams were re-seeded based on National Qualifying Score, which took the teams' Regional Championships score and combined it with their Regional Qualifying Score. Teams seeded 1 (Florida), 4 (Georgia), 5 (LSU), 8 (Minnesota), 9 (Stanford) and 12 (Illinois) were placed in one group, while teams seeded 2 (Oklahoma), 3 (Alabama), 6 (UCLA), 7 (Michigan), 10 (Utah) and 11 (Arkansas) were placed in the other group.

Individual all-arounders to qualify for the Championships are Semifinal 1 competitors Aubree Cristello (Arizona), Sharaya Musser (Penn State), Emily Wong (Nebraska), Jessie DeZiel (Nebraska), Moriah Martin (Denver), and Michelle Shealy (Iowa State) and Semifinal 2 competitors Bri Guy (Auburn), Lauren Rogers (Washington), Melanie Shaffer (Ohio State), Chelsea Tang (Oregon State), Caitlin Atkinson (Auburn), and Brittany Harris (Oregon State). Individual event qualifiers are Brittany Skinner (Nebraska), who will compete on vault in the first semifinal, and second semifinal competitors Sarah Miller (Ohio State) on beam and Makayla Stambaugh (Oregon State) on floor.

UCLA will be competing in its 29th NCAA Gymnastics Championship and seeking its seventh NCAA title.
