Senior Courtney Walker begins her first season as an undergraduate assistant coach. Walker was a three-year letterwinner for the Bruins from 2004-06 and a NACGC/W Scholastic All-American in 2006.

Walker enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2005. She had a career meet at the NCAA Super Six, scoring a personal-best 9.8 on bars and adding a 9.825 on floor. She also recorded a victory in her first all-around competition at Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 11, 2005.

She came to UCLA from All-Olympians Gymnastics, where she was the 2003 Level 10 National runner-up on vault and placed 14th in the all-around. She also won the all-around, vault and bars titles at the 2003 State Championships and the vault at the Regional meet.
