2000 — As a junior, Fletcher led the tight ends with 10 receptions, an average of 14.4 yards per catch, and two touchdowns … He played all 12 games, starting once, and played at least 30 snaps eight times, including 51 versus Alabama, 43 at California and 40 against Fresno State … At California, Fletcher made three receptions for 42 yards, including first-half touchdowns of 15 and four yards … He was the first Bruin tight end to catch two touchdown passes in a game since Mike Grieb did it against USC in 1997 … Fletcher had two receptions for 39 yards, including a tackle-breaking 30-yarder, against Oregon State … Also played on virtually all of the special teams units.
1999 — As a third-year sophomore, Fletcher played well during the first half of the season, making all nine of his receptions in the first six games … Suffered a sprained ankle that hampered him for the remainder of the year … In the final five contests, he did not play a single offensive snap in three of the games and played a total of five snaps in the other two … Started three games (Boise State, Ohio State and Oregon) … Played 50 snaps versus Fresno State and 40 against Oregon … Made a career-high three receptions against Oregon and two each versus Boise State and Ohio State.
1998 — Saw action as a redshirt freshman, mostly in multiple tight end formations … Appeared in 11 of 12 games on offense … Played double figure snaps on three occasions — 16 at Washington, 13 versus Washington State and 10 against Texas … Did not make a reception … Also played on several of the special teams units and was a regular on the kickoff return and punt return squads … Was credited with two returns for four yards on squib kick situations.
