2000 — As a redshirt junior, McEwan spent most of the season as the team's No. 2 quarterback behind either McCann or Paus … He appeared in two games and played well in both of them … He played the entire second half of the Fresno State contest (36 snaps) in relief of McCann, completing five of 10 passes for 29 yards and directing two fourth-quarter touchdown drives that built UCLA's 10-7 halftime lead to 24-7 … In the Sun Bowl against Wisconsin, he played two snaps in the second quarter and the entire second half (32 snaps) after Paus fractured his left collarbone … McEwan completed 12 of 18 passes for 135 yards -- all career highs -- and drove the Bruins to a field goal on their first possession of the final half.
1999 — Saw action in six games with a high of 17 plays at Oregon State where he completed two of nine passes for 23 yards with one interception … Relieved starter Cory Paus (shoulder injury) in the second quarter and ran the club for three series in the second half … The following week against Arizona, he played one fourth-quarter series and threw four incompletions … Played one snap against USC.
1998 — Appeared in one game as a redshirt freshman, playing three snaps against Washington State.
