Spotlight: Kari Korver

Guard Kari Korver has made the most of her injury that kept her off the court in 2013-14.

UCLA's latest “Spotlight” video highlights redshirt sophomore women's basketball player Kari Korver, a shooting guard known for being a three-point threat.

Korver tore her right ACL and lateral meniscus in a workout last season, causing her to miss the entire 2013-14 campaign. In this video, Korver explains how she overcame the injury and how she gained the leadership skills to help the Bruins off the bench.

“I learned a lot from the injuries,” Korver said. “It's been a real character development thing for me, so I'm grateful for them in that way.”

Korver and the Bruins play their second of a five-game homestand against UC Riverside on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 5 pm.
