Every year, student-athletes across the country make the challenging decision to turn professional before completing their degree. This is an especially difficult choice for student-athletes at UCLA, one the most prestigious institutions in the world.

The decision to turn pro or finish school, however, does not have to be one or the other, and UCLA Athletics takes an active role in empowering and enabling student-athletes to complete their degree after beginning their professional careers.

In this installment of UCLA's "I Am ..." series, NCAA champions Rachael Kidder (women's volleyball) and Shane Zeile (baseball) speak about their decisions to play professionally, the process of completing their degree, and UCLA Athletics' role in supporting their educational goals.
