March 12, 2014 | Gymnastics
In her first all-around attempt since the 2012 NCAA Championships, Peszek won the all-around with a score of 39.65 in a tri-meet against No. 6 Utah and No. 7 Michigan. Peszek scored three 9.925s (vault, beam and floor) and a 9.875 (bars) to record UCLA's highest all-around mark of the year and lead UCLA to its second-highest team total of the season (197.475) and its highest vault total (49.475). Peszek had been limited to bars and beam for most of the season due to a stress reaction in her heel and performed her first floor exercise routine of the season, scoring 9.925. She also tied her season-best on vault with a 9.925 to earn one of two Top 3 event finishes.
The play of the week was made by UCLA Softball's Maurice, who reached over the center field fence to rob Michigan's Sierra Lawrence of a two-run home run in the third inning.
