Ryder Roberts Named Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES -- The MPSF announced today that UCLA junior Ryder Roberts (Vista, CA/Vista HS) has been named the MPSF/Kap7 Player of the Week after leading No. 1 UCLA to its first-ever Kap7 SoCal Invitational title.

He accumulated 10 goals at the KAP7 SoCal Invitational this past weekend to help the top-ranked Bruins stay undefeated. Seven of his 10 goals came on the second day of the event, putting away a game-high three goals in the semifinal against No. 4 California and a game-high tying four goals in the title game vs. No. 2 USC. Roberts, who also scored twice vs. No. 7 UC Irvine in the quarterfinal, added eight steals, six assists, and two field blocks through the tournament.

This is Roberts' first career MPSF weekly honor.
