Harrison On a Roll in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- UCLA senior Catherine Harrison is on a roll at the 2015 USTA/ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego. The first-seeded Bruin will face fourth-seeded cross-town foe Gabrielle Smith of USC in the semifinals on Sunday at 12:00 p.m PT.
After cruising past Arizona's Kinga Gartner in straights in the round of 32 on Friday, Harrison battled through her first two sets against Pepperdine's Matea Cutura. The Bruin took the round of 16 match in three sets to advance to Saturday afternoon's quarterfinal matchup with the Waves' Laura Gulbe.
Harrison took the first set, 6-4, but Gulbe rallied to force a third. The UCLA senior came out on top with a 6-4 win to advance to Sunday's semis.
The singles semifinals will be held on Sunday afternoon, with the final match taking place on Monday.
