
Daniel Im Earns European Tour Card

GIRONA, Spain - Bruin alum Daniel Im earned co-medalist honors at the European Tour Q School Final Qualifying Stage (Nov. 14-19) at the PGA Catalunya Resort.
Im tied for first at 18-under (410) to earn full-time status on the European Tour. He was under par every day with a six-round score of 70-68-65-70-66-71. Im played in 24 European Tour tournaments in 2015, four on the main tour and 20 on the Challenge Tour. He made the cut in 14 of his 20 Challenge Tour events, with a win at the Swiss Challenge and a third-place finish at the Kazakhstan Open. In his four European Tour events, he made the cut three times, with the best showing a T-55 at the Madeira Islands Open.
Fellow Bruin alum Pontus Widegren also took part in qualifying school and tied for 40th at -4 (424) to earn his Challenge Tour card. Widegren played in five European Tour events this season, with two made cuts and one Top 10 (T-4 at Madeira Islands Open), as well as 20 Challenge Tour events, with 12 made cuts and two Top 10's.
