The Bruins' game will be nationally televised on ESPN2, with tipoff slated for 6:05 p.m. (PT). The Bruins open their Pac-12 home schedule this week with games against Arizona on Thursday and Arizona State on Saturday (2 p.m.).

RUSSELL WESTBROOK NIGHT
Former UCLA standout and four-time NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook will be recognized Thursday for his significant financial contribution toward the Mo Ostin Basketball Center (currently under construction, targeted for completion in the fall of 2017). The gym's court will be known going forward as Russell Westbrook Court. This Thursday, courtesy of Wescon, all fans in attendance will receive complimentary eyeglass frames, a trademark of Westbrook's at postgame NBA press conferences.

ABOUT THE BRUINS
- The Bruins have gone 9-6, having lost consecutive Pac-12 road games last weekend ... UCLA was edged, 96-93, in double overtime at Washington last Friday and dropped an 85-78 decision at Washington State on Sunday night.

- UCLA's five starters have averaged at least 10.0 points per game, with junior guard Bryce Alford having registered a team-leading 16.9 points per game (the fifth-highest scoring average in the Pac-12 through Jan. 5).

- Junior guard Isaac Hamilton has scored in double figures in each of the Bruins' last 11 contests ... Hamilton scored a team-leading and season-high 27 points at Washington State and ranks seventh in the Pac-12 in scoring (16.1 ppg).

- Senior forward/center Tony Parker ranks third in the Pac-12 in rebounding (9.9 rpg) and has registered seven double-doubles, tied for the third-highest total among any Pac-12 player (through Jan. 5).

- Bryce Alford and Oregon State senior guard Gary Payton II are the only players in the Pac-12 to rank among the top five in the conference in both scoring (Alford, 17.5 ppg) and assists (Alford, 5.1 apg).

WEEKEND RECAP
- Bryce Alford hit three late, critical 3-pointers to help force two overtime sessions last Friday at Washington ... his 3-pointer with 17 seconds to go in regulation cut Washington's lead to 69-68 ... his 3-pointer with 7.1 seconds left in the second half tied the game, 71-71 ... his 3-pointer with 13 seconds to play in the first overtime tied the game, 83-83.

- UCLA attempted 50 free throws on Friday (making 38 of them), the most single-game attempts by any Bruins' team since prior to the 1991-92 season ... Bryce Alford's 17 free throws on 18 attempts at Washington are the highest single-game totals by any UCLA player since prior to the 1997-98 season.

- Friday night's game at Washington marked UCLA's third double overtime contest in the last three seasons (all under head coach Steve Alford) ... the Bruins dropped an 87-83 decision to Oregon at home on Feb. 27, 2014 and defeated Stanford, 86-81, in Pauley Pavilion last season in the Bruins' home Pac-12 opener (Jan. 8, 2015).

- With an 85-78 loss at Washington State on Sunday, the Bruins have opened Pac-12 play with two consecutive road losses for the second straight season ... last year, UCLA won 11 of its final 16 Pac-12 games, finishing with an 11-7 record and fourth place finish to secure a first-round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament for the third straight season.

HAMILTON HEATS UP
Junior guard Isaac Hamilton has scored in double figures in each of UCLA's last 11 games. He scored a season-high 27 points on 12 of 22 shooting at Washington State on Sunday. The former standout at St. John Bosco High School (Bellflower, Calif.) has made 54.6 percent of his total field goal attempts over UCLA's last seven games (averaging 20.4 points per game over that span). Last month, he had a streak of five consecutive games with at least eight field goals, the longest such streak at UCLA since 1991, when Tracy Murray did that in six consecutive contests.

THREE STRAIGHT
Sophomore center Thomas Welsh is currently averaging 13.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game and has registered three consecutive double-doubles. Among returning players in the Pac-12 this season, no player has produced a higher increase in scoring production than Welsh (was 3.8 ppg last year). Likewise, Welsh and Stanford's Michael Humphrey have made the largest increases in rebouding since last year, with each player's rebounding averages escalating by 4.6 rebounds per game. Welsh's 59.2 shooting percentage is tied for the fifth-highest mark among Pac-12 players.

CHALLENGING SLATE
Among Pac-12 teams, UCLA's non-conference schedule was rated the most challenging by KenPom.com. The Bruins played four teams who were ranked in the top 20 of the AP poll, including No. 1 Kentucky (W, 87-77, Dec. 3) and No. 5 Kansas in the Maui Invitational (L, 92-73, Nov. 24). In addition, the Bruins earned a win at No. 20 Gonzaga (W, 71-66, Dec. 12) and dropped a neutral-site contest to No. 11 North Carolina (L, 89-76, Dec. 19). UCLA played three consecutive games in the 2015 Maui Jim Maui Invitational, facing UNLV, Kansas and Wake Forest during the week of Thanksgiving.

THURSDAY'S MATCHUP
UCLA has compiled a 53-40 all-time record against Arizona and lost both games against the Wildcats last season – one in Tucson and one in Las Vegas in the Pac-12 Tournament. The Bruins have not faced Arizona in Pauley Pavilion since Jan. 5, 2014, when the Wildcats were undefeated (15-0) and ranked No. 1 in the nation. UCLA lost that game, 79-75, but not after erasing a 13-point deficit in the second half to take a 70-69 lead in the game's final minutes.

ABOUT ARIZONA
Arizona defeated Arizona State, 94-82, at the Sun Devils' home (Wells Fargo Arena) last Sunday afternoon to open Pac-12 action. Arizona enters this week ranked No. 7 in the AP poll and No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Wildcats, under the guidance of seventh-year head coach Sean Miller, have gone 13-1 this season with wins over Boise State, Providence, Gonzaga and UNLV. Ryan Anderson, a 6-foot-9 forward who sat out last season after transferring from Boston College, leads the Wildcats in scoring (15.1 ppg) and rebounding (10.2 rpg).

WHAT'S DOWN THE ROAD
UCLA hosts Arizona this Thursday and will take on Arizona State on Saturday afternoon, in a game that will be televised by Pac-12 Networks. The Bruins will be hosting Arizona State this weekend for the first time since Jan. 12, 2014 (UCLA won that game, 87-72). UCLA and Arizona State faced each other just once last year, with the Sun Devils securing a 68-66 win in Tempe, Ariz. (at Wells Fargo Arena) on Feb. 18, 2015. The Bruins have recorded a 66-19 all-time record against Arizona State, having won seven of the last nine matchups versus the Sun Devils.

YEAR THREE
Steve Alford is currently in his third season as UCLA's head coach and his 25th year as a college basketball head coach. In his third year at UCLA, Alford has led the Bruins to a 59-29 overall record. After guiding the Bruins to the Pac-12 Tournament title and a Sweet 16 appearance in 2014, Alford helped UCLA engineer a second consecutive trip to the Sweet 16 last March. He has led his teams to at least 22 wins in each of the last eight years, including at least 28 wins in three of the previous four seasons (107-36 record over the previous four years).
