The Bruins (13-4, 5-1 Pac-12) are on a four-win streak since their loss to then No. 23 Stanford (March 12). Last time out, UCLA registered a pair of road wins against Colorado and No. 74 Utah. On April 1, the Bruins steamrolled the Buffaloes, 6-1, quickly clinching doubles and then rattling off three straight singles wins to take the match. In last Sunday's tilt with the Utes, the Bruins battled back from a 1-2 deficit to win the match, 4-2. McPhillips registered both clinching points on the weekend.
In singles, No. 15 Harrison and McPhillips lead the squad with 14-2 records in dual match play. At the top of the lineup, Harrison is 6-2 against ranked opponents this spring. In doubles, the Bruin seniors check in as the fifth-ranked pair in the nation. The duo is 12-1 this spring, including an unblemished 5-0 record against ranked opponents.
Scouting the Sun Devils
Arizona State (15-4, 6-1 Pac-12) is on a nine-win streak since losing to second-ranked Cal on March 4. Since then, the Sun Devils have registered wins over four ranked teams—No. 20 Stanford, No. 63 Utah, No. 30 Oregon, and No. 61 Washington. Last time out, ASU posted a 6-1 win over Washington State on Senior Day in Tempe.
No. 23 Desirae Krawczyk leads the Sun Devils with a 22-9 singles mark. In ASU's loss to No. 2 Ohio State on February 28, the senior pulled off the upset over top-ranked Francesca Di Lorenzo in a third-set super tiebreaker. Krawczyk is joined by teammate Kassidy Jump in the ITA singles rankings. Ranked No. 84, Jump boasts a 19-9 record. In doubles, Alexandra Osborne and Ebony Panoho check in at No. 26 while Jump and partner Sammi Hampton rank 65th.
Scouting the Wildcats
Last time out, Arizona (12-9, 1-6 Pac-12) fell in a close match to No. 61 Washington. The Wildcats dropped what became a crucial doubles point, as they split singles with the Huskies. Arizona currently has one player ranked nationally in singles—No. 42 Lauren Marker. Marker and teammate Shayne Austin punch in at No. 35 in doubles. Before facing the Bruins on Saturday, the 'Cats take on No. 24 USC on Friday.
