October 25, 2016 | Women's Soccer
Freshman midfielder Jessie Fleming of the UCLA women's soccer team was voted the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 17-23.
Fleming scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to help lead UCLA to a 3-2 victory over Arizona on Thursday. The goals were her team-leading ninth and 10th of the season. Fleming leads the Bruins in scoring with 22 points and is the Pac-12 leader in points per game (1.69) and goals per game (0.77). She also has three game-winning goals.
This is Fleming's fourth UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.

This week, Fleming beat out men's water polo player Alex Roelse, who had a hat trick in the Bruins' 7-6 win over second-ranked California that extended the team's winning streak to 54 games; and women's volleyball player Torrey Van Winden, who had 31 kills, a .455 percentage and 12 digs in two wins, including UCLA's first win over Stanford since 2011.
