FLUSHING, NY – After an impressive run, which included a straight-set win over the 34th-ranked doubles team in the nation, Ena Shibahara and Jada Hart fell to the top-ranked pair of Mami Adachi and Aldila Sutjiadi in 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships doubles final on Sunday.
Despite falling 6-3 in the first set, the Bruin freshmen put up a good fight. The second set was just as evenly matched, but Shibahara and Hart were unable to overcome the firepower of Adachi and Sutjiadi. The Wildcat duo won 15 of 19 first-serve points and 100 percent of second-serve points. Ultimately, the Bruins fell 6-3, 6-4.
