UCLA senior goalkeeper Garrett Danner earned MPSF Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive year, leading eight Bruins on the All-MPSF team.

Danner (Coto de Caza, Calif./El Toro HS) has led UCLA to a 25-2 record and the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He has posted a 6.02 goals against average this season, making 148 saves for an average of 10.74 saves per game. With 946 career saves, Danner is only the second goalkeeper in MPSF history to surpass 900 career saves. UCLA has now won four MPSF Player of the Year awards - Danner in 2016 and 2015, Scott Davidson in 2009 and Sean Kern in 2000. Danner is just the third player in MPSF history to earn multiple Player of the Year awards, joining Joel Dennerley of USC (2010 and 2011) and Tony Azevedo of Stanford (2001-04). In addition, Danner was named to the All-MPSF first-team for the third time in his career. He was also an honorable mention selection as a freshman.

Also selected to the All-MPSF first team were senior attackers Patrick Fellner and Ryder Roberts. Fellner (Orinda, Calif./Miramonte HS) leads the Bruins in scoring with 38 goals (1.73 goals per game). He has scored a season-high four goals four times this year, most recently against Cal in the MPSF Tournament. Fellner was a third-team All-American and All-MPSF honorable mention selection in 2015. Roberts (Vista, Calif./Vista HS) earns the third All-MPSF honor of his career and second consecutive first-team selection. Roberts ranks second on the Bruin team in scoring with 33 goals (1.50 goals per game) and is seventh all-time at UCLA in career goals with 156.

Senior center Gordon Marshall and junior attacker Max Irving received All-MPSF second-team acclaim. Marshall (Newcastle, Australia/Kotara HS) is now a three-time All-MPSF honoree. He earned first-team All-America and first-team All-MPSF honors in 2015 and 2014. He leads the team in exclusions drawn. Irving (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Wilson HS) was a third-team All-American and All-MPSF honorable mention selection in 2015. This season, he ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 30 goals (1.30 goals per game) and has five hat tricks on the season.

Receiving honorable mention All-MPSF acclaim in 2016 were senior defender Chancellor Ramirez (Pasadena, Calif./Loyola HS), junior utility Alex Roelse (Maarssen, Netherlands/Winford Stebo) and junior center Matt Farmer (La Grange, Ill./Fenwick HS). These are the first All-MPSF honors for each player. Ramirez, a two-time honorable mention All-American, has played in 21 games, recording a career-high 22 goals. He ranks fifth on the team in scoring. Roelse, a member of the 2016 U.S. Olympic team, ranks third on the team in scoring with a career-high-tying 28 goals (1.40 goals per game). He was an honorable mention All-American in 2015. Farmer has scored a career-high 21 goals in 26 games played and has seven multiple-goal games this year.
