Bruins Fall in #NationalIndoors Final

FLUSHING, NY โ After an impressive run, which included a straight-set win over the 34th-ranked doubles team in the nation, Ena Shibahara and Jada Hart fell to the top-ranked pair of Mami Adachi and Aldila Sutjiadi in 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiateย Championships doubles final on Sunday.ย
Despite falling 6-3 in the first set, the Bruin freshmen put up a good fight.ย The duo won 10 of 12 first-serve points, saved four of six break points, and broke their Wildcats opponents once.ยHart/Shibahara fall to Kentucky in National Indoors doubles final 6-3, 6-4. The second set was just as evenly matched, but Shibahara and Hart were unable to overcome the firepower of Adachi and Sutjiadi.ย The Wildcat duo won 15 of 19 first-serve points and 100 percent of second-serve points.ย Ultimately, the Bruins fell 6-3, 6-4.ย
