Bruins to Play at Jack Kramer Invite

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The UCLA men's tennis team closes out its fall campaign this week when it heads to the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invitational. The four-day tournament will be held at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.

Maxime Cressy, Daniel Gealer, Michael Guzman, and Reid Shumway will represent the Bruins in singles play. In his last outing, Cressy made an impressive run for the title at the 60th Annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships. Before falling to No. 27 Nick Crystal (USC) in the semis, Cressy posted three straight-set wins, including one over top-seeded Logan Smith (USC) in the round of 16. Earlier in October, Cressy fell in the UCSB Classic Flight-A singles final, where he suffered a tight three-set loss to hometown favorite Morgan Mays (UCSB). In the Flight-B consolation singles final, fellow Bruin Gealer downed Manuel De Luis Lamales (St. Mary's) in straight sets to claim the title.

In doubles action, Cressy and Gealer team up while Guzman pairs with Shumway. In their last outing together, Cressy and Gealer took home the doubles title in the Flight-A Draw at the UCSB Classic in October. The duo defeated Oregon's Ty Gentry and Simon Stevens, 8-5.
