SAN FRANCISCO - Five UCLA men's soccer players earned Pac-12 All-Academic team honors, led by Michael Amick being named a first team selection, announced the conference office on Wednesday.

Amick earned Pac-12 All-Academic first team honors for the second-straight season. Senior Felix Vobejda and redshirt freshman Blayne Martinez earned All-Academic second team honors, while Brian Iloski and Matthew Powell received honorable mention accolades.

Amick, a senior from Sunnyvale, Calif., was named the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a CoSIDA Academic All-America first team honoree. He holds a 3.63 GPA in biochemistry and is a three-time All-Pac-12 selection. This marks his third Pac-12 All-Academic team honor as he was named first team last season and second team in 2014.

Vobejda, a native of Bielefeld, Germany, earns his second consecutive all-academic second team selection and his third all-academic honor of his career. He maintains a 3.48 GPA in psychology and had a career-high five goals and 12 points this season en route to earning All-Pac-12 second team honors.

Martinez, a native of Dana Point, Calif., earns his first career all-academic team honor after posting a 3.54 GPA. He appeared in 19 matches this season and scored three goals. He netted the game winning goal with just two second remaining in regulation in a 4-3 win at California.

Iloski collects his second honorable mention all-academic honor as he also earned the award in 2014, while Powell received his first all-academic nod.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games.
