Jessie Fleming Named NSCAA All-American

UCLA freshman midfielder Jessie Fleming (London, Ontario, Canada) was selected to the NSCAA All-America third team, becoming one of just two freshmen this season to receive All-America honors.
Fleming led UCLA in goals (11) and points (27) in her rookie season and also added five assists and three game-winning goals. In her first game as a Bruin, less than 10 days after winning a bronze medal at the Olympic Games with Team Canada, she scored two goals, and she went on to score a goal in each of her first four games. Fleming earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors, as well as Pac-12 All-Freshman acclaim.
Fleming is just the fourth UCLA freshman ever to receive NSCAA All-America honors, joining Lauren Cheney (2006), Abby Dahlkemper (2011) and Darian Jenkins (2013). UCLA has now produced 22 All-Americans.
