DeLAND, Fla. -- No. 4 UCLA (8-4) posted its second sweep over No. 17 Florida Atlantic (6-4) in four days with a 5-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the Stetson Beach Invitational at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Courts on the campus of Stetson.
The Bruins won the first point on court four after sophomore Reily Buechler and freshman Zana Muno dispatched FAU's Ashlan Cunningham and Jazmine Barker in straight sets, 21-17, 21-16.
UCLA went up 2-0 on court three when the Bruins' duo of senior Kamila Tan and sophomore Ivey Schmitt defeated the Florida Atlantic tandem of Brittany Pellitteri and Andrea Galinis in straight sets, 21-14, 21-17.
The Bruins clinched the match on court five when junior Laurel Weaver and senior Julie Consani defeated Florida Atlantic's Nicole Grant/Natalie Fraley in straight sets, 21-9, 21-13.
Court two saw UCLA take a 4-0 lead when the Bruins' duo of sophomore Elise Zappia and freshman Izzy Carey defeated the Owls' Heather Weiss and Chelsey Tekavec, 21-14, 21-14.
