Four Bruins Garner All-Pac-12 Honors

SAN FRANCISCO -- USC junior Kelly Claes has been named Player of the Year and earned Pair of the Year along with classmate Sara Hughes, UCLA rookie Megan McNamara was chosen Freshman of the Year and Arizona's Steve Walker was voted Coach of the Year in the inaugural Pac-12 Beach Volleyball All-Conference selections on Thursday.
The Pac-12 All-Conference Teams and end-of-year awards were nominated and voted on by the league's eight head coaches.
Vancouver, B.C., native Megan McNamara has amassed 16 victories at the No. 1 spot in her first season in Westwood, the second-most on the team for No. 4 nationally-ranked UCLA. She recorded 14 of those wins with twin sister Nicole McNamara, who joined Megan and Bruins' classmate Zana Muno on the five-member Pac-12 All-Freshman Team.
The McNamara twins were also voted to the First Team All-Pac-12. Senior Kamila Tan and Muno were each named to the Second Team All-Pac-12.

The Bruins will open play at the NCAA Championship on Friday, May 6 vs. fifth-seeded Hawai'i at 10:00 a.m. CT/8:00 a.m. PT in the second match of the day. UCLA will face either No. 1 Florida State or No. 8 Stetson on Friday as well, either in the winner's bracket at 3:00 p.m. CT/1:00 p.m. PT or the contender's bracket at 1:00 p.m. CT/11:00 a.m. PT.
Turner networks will televise the event, with truTV providing live coverage on Friday and Saturday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. CT/12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. PT and the championship round airing on TBS on Sunday, May 8, at 1:00 p.m. CT/11:00 a.m. PT.
Live streaming coverage of every court in each match of the tournament will be available on NCAA.com. In addition, the full television broadcast will be available on Turner's TV Everywhere platforms including the Watch TBS and Watch truTV apps.
