LOS ANGELES – The Pac-12 Conference announced its All-Academic Baseball teams on Monday and six Bruins were honored. Daniel Rosica highlighted the group, earning a first team All-Academic nod.

Joining Rosica was Jake Bird who was named to the second team, along with Scott Burke, Tucker Forbes, Luke Persico and Brett Stephens who each earned honorable mention.

To be eligible for selection to the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Rosica, an undeclared major, is in his second year at UCLA and maintains the highest GPA on the team at 3.74. The Fountain Valley, Calif. native has landed on the Director's Honor Roll every quarter since arriving in Westwood and was recently named to the UCLA All-Academic Team. This is Rosica's first Pac-12 All-Academic selection.

Bird, an undeclared major, has also earned Director's Honor Roll every quarter since coming to UCLA. The Valencia, Calif. native holds a 3.57 GPA and this marks his first Pac-12 All-Academic selection.

This is the second consecutive honorable mention All-Pac-12 honor for Burke, Forbes and Stephens, while Persico earned his first selection.
