Silva and Toglia Named WCL All-Stars

The incoming freshmen each earned summer league all-star selections.

LOS ANGELES - UCLA incoming freshmen Jarron Silva and Michael Toglia were each named West Coast League All-Stars, it was announced by the league.

Both players will compete for the North team in the 2016 West Coast League All-Star Game set to be played on Tuesday, July 19 at David Story Field in Longview, Wash. First pitch is set for 7:05pm PT.

Silva, an outfielder, has appeared in 26 games this season for the Victoria HarbourCats. He is currently hitting .320 with a team-high 17 runs and 11 RBI. The Stockton, Calif. native leads the team with two triples and has helped the HarbourCats rack up a WCL best 25-5 record.

Toglia, a utility player, has appeared in 24 games this season for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He currently leads the team with a .280 batting average with 14 runs and a team-high 20 RBI. The Gig Harbor, Wash. native also leads Wenatchee with 11 extra base hits, including four triples and three home runs.
