Women's Water Polo
The U.S. women won their second straight match in convincing fashion with a 12-4 victory over China on Thursday morning. Incoming UCLA freshman Maddie Musselman scored four goals to lead the offense, while recent graduate Sami Hill tallied three saves in goal. Team USA dictated the pace early. Musselman's first goal of the game put USA ahead, 3-0, in the first quarter. Her second goal came right before the half, giving USA a 6-1 lead over China. In the final 5:18 of the match, Musselman scored two more goals to help Team USA cruise to the 12-4 win.

Women's Rowing
Former UCLA standout Meaghan Volker concluded her Olympic experience rowing for Australia on Thursday. Men's Volleyball
Coach John Speraw's U.S. Men's Volleyball team defeated host Brazil, winners of the silver medal in the 2012 Olympics, 3-1, on Thursday night to record its first pool play win (1-2). Next up for the Americans is a match on Saturday against France, which is currently in second place in the pool with a 2-1 mark. The U.S. squad is currently tied for fourth in its pool, with the top four teams advancing to next week's quarterfinal round.
