KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UCLA will join Baylor, Creighton and Wisconsin next season in the Hall of Fame Classic, set to take place on Nov. 20-21 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.

The Hall of Fame Classic will be the culminating event of college basketball's Hall of Fame Weekend, which will also include the 12th annual induction ceremony for the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
 
The semifinal rounds of the 2017 Hall of Fame Classic will take place Monday, Nov. 20, with the finals slated for the following day (Nov. 21). All four contests will be aired on an ESPN network.
 
"Our goal every year is to schedule up and play a demanding non-conference lineup," UCLA head coach Steve Alford said. "Our players, coaches and fans all want to be part of big-time games, so when you talk about next season's Hall of Fame Classic with a field that includes Baylor, Creighton and Wisconsin, I think everyone would agree the level of competition in this tournament is elite. Our guys have unfinished business this year, but I know our returners and the new class will be as excited as I am about this opportunity to test ourselves next season in Kansas City."
 
The complete bracket, including matchups and television times, will be announced at a later date.

UCLA last played in the event in Nov. 2007, winning the tournament title that season with championship round victories over Maryland and Michigan State in Kansas City, Mo.

It's been over 20 years since UCLA has faced any of the other three teams in the 2017 field. The Bruins' most recent meeting against Baylor took place early in the 1975-76 season. UCLA secured a 96-75 victory over the Bears on Dec. 23, 1975 in Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins last faced Creighton during the 1963-64 season, winning a 95-79 decision on Dec. 21, 1963, in a game played in Long Beach, Calif. UCLA last faced Wisconsin in the 1995 Maui Classic, securing a 68-57 win on Nov. 21, 1995.
 
All four teams – UCLA, Baylor, Creighton and Wisconsin – have entered mid-March with strong regular-season resumes. Under the leadership of head coach Scott Drew, Baylor finished the regular season tied for second place in the Big 12 Conference, having compiled a 25-6 overall record and 12-6 league record.
 
Creighton enjoyed one of its best seasons in school history, going 23-8 with a 10-8 record in the Big East Conference. The Bluejays are seeking their first NCAA Tournament appearance since the 2013-14 season under head coach Greg McDermott.
 
Wisconsin tied for second place in the Big Ten Conference, having recorded a 23-8 overall record after going 12-6 in league games. The Badgers are seeking their 19th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under second-year head coach Greg Gard.
