SAN FRANCISCO - Junior Lilia Vu was named Pac-12 Conference Golfer of the Month for November on Monday after coming from behind to win the inaugural Battle at the Beach in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico (Nov. 3-5). 

Vu recorded the fifth tournament victory of her career and first of the season, overcoming a one-shot deficit to win by one thanks to a closing 67 (-4). She finished at 8-under 205 to defeat Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho (-7). A stretch of four birdies in seven holes in the middle of her final round was the key, as she also helped the Bruins to their third victory in a row to end the fall campaign. Vu shot a pair of 69s in her first two rounds.

Vu earned her third Pac-12 Golfer of the Month award after also receiving the nod last season in March and April 2017.

The top-ranked Bruins resume their tournament schedule five weeks into the new year, playing at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. (Feb. 11-13).
