Six Bruins Headline All-America List

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the selection of the organization's 2017 Men's Division I All-America Team.
UCLA Head Coach Adam Wright was named Coach of the Year for the third time in his career (2014 and 2015).
Headlining UCLA's list of six All-Americans was senior attacker Max Irving and senior utility Alex Roelse, who were both named to the first team. Irving was also named first team All-NCAA Tournament and second team All-MPSF this season. He ended his career scoring 133 goals in 104 games while making 78 starts. Roelse was also named first team All-NCAA Tournament and second team All-MPSF on the year. He finished his career scoring 117 goals in 105 games while making 24 starts.
Three Bruins landed on the second team that included senior center Matt Farmer, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Alex Wolf and freshman attacker Nicolas Saveljic. Matt Farmer was also named second team All-NCAA Tournament and first team All-MPSF in 2017. He ended his career with 84 goals in 108 games while making 28 starts. Wolf was named NCAA Tournament MVP, first team All-NCAA Tournament and honorable mention All-MPSF this season. Saveljic was also named second team All-NCAA Tournament and honorable mention All-MPSF in 2017.
Senior attacker Jack Grover was the only Bruin to receive honorable mention All-America honors. He ended his career with 51 goals in 107 games while making 38 starts.
The Bruins won the 2017 NCAA Championship with a 7-5 win at USC, bringing home the 11th NCAA title in water polo and the school's 114th overall. The Bruins finished the season with a 21-4 overall record.
