UCLA at the Cactus Bowl - Day Two
December 24, 2017 | Football
UCLA kicked off its second day in Arizona on Saturday morning with media day, followed by the team's first local practice.
Interim head coach Jedd Fisch and student-athletes Adarius Pickett, Scott Quessenberry, Josh Rosen, Jacob Tuioti-Mariner and Kenny Young met with members of the media to talk about the Cactus Bowl game on Tuesday against Kansas State, their season leading up to the bowl game and more.
"I'm excited to be here today, excited to lead our team to this championship week, and this championship game that we're celebrating our season," Fisch said. "I feel like we have a great opportunity to play a very good Kansas State football team. Our guys are excited about it. We're four days away, and we are continuing to prepare for what we believe will be an outstanding football game. And we're very thankful to the Cactus Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl committee for hosting us. We believe that this is going to be, and has been so far, a tremendous week for our players, and we're looking forward to the game."
"It's a great opportunity to play another game," said Tuioti-Mariner. "So thankful to the committee here at the Cactus Bowl for selecting us. Our opponent, Kansas State, it's good to meet them again. I met them freshman year at the Alamo Bowl. That was a good game, and I'm hoping this is going to be a good game. I know it's going to be a good game."
