Kenny Young Named 1st-Team All-Pac-12

Kenny Young headlined the Bruin representatives on the 2017 All-Conference Football team which was announced on Tuesday by Commissioner Larry Scott. The senior linebacker was UCLA's lone first-team selection on the squad which is determined in a vote of the conference coaches. Young, who led the Bruins in tackles with a career-best 101 stops, ranked second in the Pac-12 in tackles per game this season with a 9.2 average. He was 18th in the nation in solo tackles per game average (5.7).
Three Bruins were named to the second-team squad including junior quarterback Josh Rosen, who ranked 9th in the nation in total offense and first in the Pac-12 in the category at 329.1 yards per game, redshirt junior offensive tackle Kolton Miller and senior defensive back Jaleel Wadood (15th in the Pac-12 in tackles per game 7.0).
Senior receiver Darren Andrews, who led the Pac-12 in receptions per game average at 6.7, redshirt junior receiver Jordan Lasley, who is 11th in the nation in receiving yards โ 1,136, redshirt senior center Scott Quessenberry, senior offensive lineman Najee Toran and senior defensive lineman Jacob Tuioti-Mariner, who ranked 16th in the Pac-12 in sacks โ 0.46, were each named honorable mention.
