Musselman Named MPSF Newcomer of the Week

LOS ANGELESย -- UCLA freshman attacker Maddie Musselman (Newport Beach, CA/Corona Del Mar HS) was named the MPSF Newcomer of the Week today as announced by the league.
Musselman reached the 50-goal mark with her second of two scores in the visiting No. 3 Bruins' win over No. 1 Stanford Saturday. In addition to helping the freshman reach the half-century mark, the second goal also served as the difference maker in the fourth quarter of the 10-9 victory. Musselman filled out the scoresheet with one steal, one field block, one earned exclusion and two sprints won for the MPSF-leading Bruins.
This is the sixth Newcomer of the Week award for Musselman.
The Bruins will conclude the regular season with a visit from No. 2 USC on Saturday, April, 22. Play from Spieker Aquatics Center will begin at 1:00 p.m. and be broadcast by Pac-12 Networks.
